Registration Procedures and Policies for NASA FL Region
 
Membership
A current membership with National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is required to participate. Join or renew NASA online at www.nasaproracing.com.   

Event Registration
Event registration opens approximately 6-8 weeks prior to each weekend noted on the yearly event schedule. Complete online registration by way of credit card..VISA and Master Card are accepted.
 

Event Entry Fees
HPDE entry fees are offered for single day or 2-day weekend rates.
Competition Racing is offered for a 2-day weekend only.
An individual may register for more than one activity the same weekend provided the participant is qualified for both activities or HPDE groups and a the full entry fee is paid for each activity.
Add $50 late fee for any registration accepted after online registration is closed.

Two vehicles may be registered by one participant in one HPDE group for no additional charge.  Vehicle make, model, year, color, number for an the additional vehicle should be emailed to nasafl@drivenasa.com.  All registered vehicles must be presented to the HPDE morning tech line inspection during the posted hours with a fully completed NASA Technical Inspection Form.

Options for 2 HPDE drivers sharing one vehicle in the same event: 
Each driver can register individually for a "single day" HPDE entry fee.
Each driver can register individually for a different HPDE group (if qualified) and the full posted entry fee is required for each driver.
Two drivers sharing one car in the same HPDE Group (HPDE 2,3,4 only) on the same day is allowed only by pre-approval of the registrar in advance of the event. 1st driver must register for the regular posted entry fee.  2nd driver charge is additional $200.  No exceptions.  This option is NOT available for HPDE 1. 
Racer Requirements
A current NASA competition license and up to date medical/physical must be on file with NASA before registering for any race event. In addition, driver must verify that their race car meets the eligiblity requirements for race safety and tech as per the NASA CCR.  
HPDE Group Placement
Drivers signing up for a higher HPDE group than what they are qualified for is a serious matter that can create an endangerment to themselves as well as other drivers. If a driver intentionally misrepresents his or her past driving history in order to register for a higher group, that driver may be subject to penalties including suspension for up to one year and forfeiture of their NASA membership. 
HPDE Cancellation Policy
Full refund or credit less $30 processing fee, with at least 1 week advance notice, otherwise no refund/credit. No exceptions. 
Racer Cancellation Policy
Entry fee is fully refundable providing racer registered at least 12 days in advance of the event and racer requests refund through FL Region within 5 days following the missed event. Refund applies only if the race car never touches the track surface! No partical refunds or credits. 
Driver Substitution
Driver substitution for a pre-paid entry will NOT be accepted for any reason.  Refunds are offered as per the conditions of NASA cancellation policies.

Late Arrival Penalty Fee (for day of the event)
Registered drivers who arrive at the track after the posted hours for driver-check in and tech inspection may be charged a $25 late arrival penalty fee.  
Track Damage
Any track damages caused by a driver on the track or anywhere within the track facility that require clean up, repair or replacement become the financial responsibility of that driver. Driver will also be held responsible for track facility damages caused by the actions of their guests or crewmembers.
Wet Weather Policy
ALL HPDE & RACING Events will run RAIN or SHINE! Rainy conditions may require HPDE schedule revisions including combining some HPDE track groups. Racers should always be prepared for wet weather racing conditions with proper rain tires and wet weather equipment.
HPDE Passengers
Non-enrolled adults (age 18 or over) may be registered as a passenger the day of the event, to ride in the appropriate HPDE groups.  Passenger must sign a release at the time their passenger wristband is issued. Passenger clothing and helmet requirements are the same as those for HPDE drivers. Rental/loaner helmets may not be available.
